 يقدم برنامج Google SketchUp مجموعة من أدوات الرسم ثلاثي الأبعاد التي تتيح للمستخدم إمكانية إعداد تصميمات جديدة. ويتميز بالواجهة البسيطة التلقائية سهلة الاستخدام. ويمكن استغلال الأشكال الفراغية ثلاثية الأبعاد لرسم المباني أو المنازل أو غيرها من الأشكال. ويقوم البرنامج بتقديم درس وافي للمستخدم المبتديء عن بداية تشغيل البرنامج. ويحتوي البرنامج على مجموعة من المواد المشابهة للواقع مثل الخشب والخرسانة والمناطق العشبية الخضراء وغيرها. وعند الإنتهاء من إعداد التصميم يمكنك طباعته أو مشاهدته في خريطة فعلية ببرنامج Google Earth. والبرنامج مناسب لاستخدام الهواة والمحترفين لإعداد مراحل مبدئية من المشروعات الكبيرة

Google SketchUp is an easy to use application that willl help you learn to create 3D models of houses, sheds, decks, home additions, woodworking projects – even space ships.
You can add details, textures and glass to your models, design with dimensional accuracy, and place your finished models in Google Earth, share them with others by posting them to the 3D Warehouse, or print hard copies. Google SketchUp (free) is a great way to discover if 3D modeling is right for you.
SketchUp (free ) includes these tools:
· Drawing and modifying geometry: Polygon, FollowMe, Offset, and Intersect with Model.
· Construction: Dimension, Tape Measure, Protractor, Section Slice, Layers, Area & Length Calculation
Using SketchUp (free ), you can:

· Place section slices to view and work on model interiors.
· Add pre-made textures to your models, or create new ones.
